Plant-Based Eating: a Beginner’s Guide for Families

Like most parents, you want to raise your kids to be as healthy as possible, but with all the nutrition advice out there, it can be confusing. It seems like new research comes out every day. Just a handful of recent studies have found: eating veggies may reduce your chance for certain kinds of breast cancer, high-temperature cooked meats produce carcinogens, and eating berries may cut your heart disease risk.

On top of all these news stories, parents swap advice that can seem conflicting…or can just be too much to take in all at once! Flax seeds, chia seeds, coconut oil, low-fat, Greek yogurt, soy foods, fatty fish, whole grains, gluten-free, whole foods, kid-friendly, plant-based, high-protein…what’s a parent to do?
